Western Cape Artists’ Society exhibits at the Imibala Gallery

June 8, 2013

Well, we’re all very excited because our members have been offered the opportunity to exhibit at the lovely new Imibala Gallery in Bright Street, Somerset West.  The space in the gallery has been offered to us free of charge in return for our sponsoring one of the Imibala Trust’s school learners through their Sponsor-a-Child programme, which is a great cause.

We will have a wide range of art on display. Not only paintings in oils, acrylics, watercolours and mixed media, but also photographs and sculpture.  We have aimed to give people lots of choice and have included something new this time: small (20cm x 20cm) artworks which have been painted or mounted onto ‘supawood’ blocks and which are presented in themed groups of four.  We are selling these at very reasonable prices in the hope of attracting new buyers of art.  Here are mine on one of our advertising posters:poster-page-001

Our opening is on Tuesday evening at 6pm and we are hoping to attract lots of local people to view our work – we have something for every taste and pocket!

The exhibition runs until Monday 24 June.  Here’s to some great exposure and good sales!
